No one was injured in the incident, although the car drivers must have been very surprised when a plane drove towards them out of nowhere.

A small private jet made an emergency landing on Highway 74 in western North Carolina, USA. Video footage from a wing-mounted GoPro camera was posted on the local sheriff's office's Facebook page, where the pilot was praised for his skill in a difficult situation.

The video recorded several disturbing moments when the plane narrowly avoided a collision, first with passing, and then oncoming cars. Thanks to the actions of the pilot, the plane also did not touch the wires over the highway.

Pilot Vincent Fraser told  ABC 13 News, who was flying with his father-in-law to inspect a newly acquired property, when suddenly the plane's engine failed.

"I started going through my checklist, and I was able to get the aircraft to restart and kind of fly a little bit, but she would only fly for 3 to 5 seconds, and then she would come back down and start to sink again," he told the outlet.

Later, the aircraft engine was repaired right on the road. The sheriff's office closed the highway and the undamaged aircraft successfully left the unplanned landing site.
