Chinese automotive giant Geely has created a new brand called Radar Auto. Its first model is the RD6 electric pickup truck, which is positioned as a potential competitor to the American electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian.
Radar Auto will have its own R&D center in Hangzhou and a fully equipped electric vehicle factory in Zibo, Shandong Province. Under this brand, "electric cars for active life" will be created - pickups, SUVs, ATVs, etc.
The Radar RD6 is built on the Geely Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) electric vehicle platform. It is similar in size to the Ford Ranger, has a front trunk and a cargo platform with sockets for connecting household (and not only) electrical appliances.
The pickup is promised a power reserve of more than 600 km and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds. Presumably, the car will have several modifications with one or two motors.
Radar Auto will reveal more details about its first pickup later.
