The Turkish company Baykar Makina will transfer to Ukraine the Bayraktar TB2 strike and reconnaissance drone, the funds for the purchase of which were collected in Poland.

July 24 in Poland collected 22.5 million zlotys ($4.7 million) for the Bayraktar TB2 drone for Ukraine. The money was collected through the crowdfunding platform Zrzutka. The collection was initiated by a public figure, political scientist and journalist, Slavomir Sierakovskii.

Today, July 28, Slavomir Sierakovskyi reported, that the company Baykar Makina officially refused the money for the drone. Instead, the manufacturer will transfer the drone to Ukraine at its own expense, and the collected funds will be spent on humanitarian projects.

By the way, earlier, money for Bayraktar TB2 for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was raised in Lithuania. Baykar Makina then also refused public funds and handed over the drone to Ukraine for free. The "bird" was named Vanagas, which translates from Lithuanian as Hawk.
