In September 2021, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the Mercedes-Maybach EQS Concept luxury electric vehicle at the IAA Mobility Motor Show in Munich. Judging by fresh photos, the development of the production version of this car is in full swing.
The prototype seen on the roads is carefully disguised and it is almost impossible to see the design features under the camouflage. Nevertheless, the proportions of the Mercedes-Benz EQS are guessed in the silhouette, doors and side panels, therefore, the main differences of the Mercedes-Maybach electric car can be expected in the design of the front part of the body, as well as bumpers and lighting equipment.
There is no reliable information about the technical characteristics yet. The manufacturer previously revealed only an estimated range of about 600 km. The most luxurious electric car in the German brand's lineup is rumored to get a twin-motor powertrain, likely the same as the EQS 580 4Matic. If this is confirmed, the power will be 536 hp. or more, and the torque is 858+ Nm.
Production of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS should begin before the end of 2022.
