The MG7 is a new sports style fastback that represents the next evolution of the MG brand's signature design. The front of the car is designed in the style of the Cyberster roadster, and the rear is associated with the Audi e-tron GT and even the Ford Mustang Mach-E. The novelty received four exhaust pipes and an active rear spoiler.
The official characteristics of the MG7 have not yet been announced. According to preliminary information, the length of the new car will be 4884 mm, which is 151 mm longer than the second generation Audi A5 Sportback. It can also be assumed that the novelty will receive a roomy trunk, and second-row passengers will not complain about the limited legroom.
So far, the MG7 has only been announced in China, and whether it will be sold at all outside of this country is unknown. It is expected that the MG7 will receive internal combustion engines, primarily a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 185 hp. and a torque of 300 Nm. This engine will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The flagship version will be with a 2.0-liter engine that produces 257 hp. and 405 Nm, and is combined with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
In addition, MG develops high-performance plug-in hybrids (PHEVs).
