The as-yet unnamed SUV will debut under the new premium brand of the Chinese company BYD Auto.

In May 2022, BYD announced the launch of a new luxury car brand. Despite the fact that the brand should be presented before the end of the year, the name is still not known. According to rumors, it will be called Xingkong, which translates as "Starry Sky", and the first model of the brand will be an SUV costing from 120 to 224 thousand US dollars.

SUV sales should start in the first half of 2023. It will be built on the new BYD 4.0 platform for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. Judging by the pictures, the car will receive a “square” design in the style of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Land Rover Defender, retractable door handles and a huge display of a multimedia complex with a diagonal of at least 20 inches.

The prototype in the spy photos is clearly far from a production car and can change a lot during development. For example, get rid of these strange deflectors of the ventilation system. It would be interesting to know the characteristics of the car, but, alas, there is no such information yet.
