The M5 EV is a midsize luxury SUV with dimensions of 4785/1930/1620 mm and a wheelbase of 2,880 mm. It is designed to compete against the Tesla Model Y.
The M5 EV will come in two versions: a dual-motor four-wheel drive with a 552 km (343 miles) range and a single-motor rear-wheel drive with a 620 km (385 miles) range. The basic version will cost 288,600 yuan ($41,500), while the performance model will set you back 319,800 yuan ($46,000).
The single-motor model is equipped with a 200 kW motor located in the rear, and it can do 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. On the other hand, the dual-motor has an extra 165kW motor upfront and will get from 0 to 100 km/h even quicker at 4.5 seconds Both versions come standard with a CATL lithium iron phosphate battery that hold 80 kWh of power.
The M5 EV is available in six exterior colors and four interior color options. It is built on Huawei's DriveONE pure electric drive intelligent platform and fitted with Huawei's self-developed DATS dynamic adaptive torque system, which improves battery function and reduces response time to 4 ms - 100 times faster than ICE vehicles.
The cockpit is also equipped with Huawei's HarmonyOS 3, which allows for smooth connectivity between the vehicle's infotainment system and a phone.
The AITO M5 EV is just one of many electric vehicles on the market, but it appears to be resonating with consumers.
