Volkswagen is getting ready for the IAA Transportation 2022 exhibition with a variety of practical commercial vehicles. The main model is an ID. Buzz has been given a life-saving function.

The vehicle was created by Bösenberg and is a brightly colored emergency responder's car. The exterior of the vehicle has an orange and yellow livery with a green plug, which has a cable that resembles the line on a heart-rate monitor. The electric van also features blue and white lights on top as well as white highlights on the body.

Other details about the new development Volkswagen has not disclosed, but with a high degree of probability we can assume that the ambulance is built on the basis of a commercial ID. Buzz Cargo. The ID. Buzz Cargo has an interior load space capacity of 3.9 cubic meters (138 cubic feet), and 2,123 mm (6.9 feet) of space behind the front seats.

Ambulance concept next to other Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles

The ID. Buzz Cargo comes with a 77 kWh battery pack to power the front wheels. This gives it a range of up to 256 miles (413 km) on the WLTP test cycle. In England, it starts at £38,125 ($43,525 USD at current exchange rates).
