After just one week of ownership, one of the 375 existing McLaren P1s in the world was flooded by Hurricane Ian.

The yellow McLaren P1 pictured here belonged to Ernie - you can find him on Instagram under the handle lambo9286. The guy in question has a large garage in Florida, and the latest addition to his collection was a brand-new McLaren P1 with only 300 miles on the clock. He received the limited production hybrid supercar just last week, as seen through his social media posts.

Unfortunately, Hurricane Ian's resulting floods forced his McLaren P1 out of the garage and onto the streets. Even capturing the instant before it escaped his garage, Ernie is enthusiastic about providing information about this flooded P1 to his followers. He just posted another update on social media, in which you can see the P1 out on the streets sitting above a toilet.

The owner's new Rolls-Royce Phantom, which was just delivered the previous day, was also submerged in flood water and abandoned on the streets. It's unclear whether other vehicles from Ernie's collection were damaged in the same way. The video originally posted on Instagram shows both the P1 and Wraith floating in floodwater.

This is incredibly costly damage to property that was caused by a natural force. We hope that this guy's insurance had him covered, as with the other damages caused by floods in Florida.
