Toyota has always been a dependable brand for car owners, but some people like to take their cars one step further and customize them to their own liking. Recently, an eighth-generation Toyota Corolla owner from the Philippines converted his car to look like a newer eleventh-generation model. The results are impressive!

The mashup is based on a Toyota Corolla E110 sedan which was originally introduced in 1995 and remained on sale until 2004 in the Philippines. This example was bought in 2001 and comes with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 109 hp (81 kW/ 110 PS). So far, it has traveled 180,000 km. However, it is the many visual changes that make this product unique.

The owner did a complete facelift, which included genuine headlights, grille, front bumper, and bonnet from the Euro-spec Toyota Corolla E170 (2013-2019). Notable size and proportion differences between the two Corolla generations required a lot of work in order to make the transplant possible, including custom front fenders and wider side sills.

Another disadvantage of this change is that the bonnet of the 11th-generation Corolla is longer than the 8th-gen model, resulting in a big difference between the shutline and windscreen. The newer model is also wider, as seen in the front tracks.

This Corolla owner took the unusual step of changing not only the head, but also the tail. The result is less convincing than it would be if the rear end of the old car was longer and more rounded. As a result, the old spoiler lip and license plate holder were retained in the new trunk, which included aftermarket taillights.
