The Tesla powertrain from ECD provides up to 450 horsepower (336 kilowatts), which gives the driver approximately 200 miles (321 km) of range for city driving and 140 miles (225 km) for highway travel. ECD says that it takes about eight hours to charge the battery.
You can personalize your Jaguar E-Type restoration order by choosing from a wide variety of paint colors, including both historic and modern hues. Both are available in roadster and coupe forms.
You also have a variety of options for the interior. Nappa leather is the standard, but you can upgrade to Spinneybeck leathers that are distressed, hand-tipped, or have a leather-weave pattern.
If you're not interested in a battery-operated Jaguar E-Type, you can still opt for one of theinternal combustion engines offered by ECD. There's the GM-sourced 450-hp LT1 V8 engine with 8-speed transmission sourced from the Chevrolet Corvette, or you can go full historicwith either an inline-six or V12 that requires higher maintenance.
The E-Type restoration/modification project from ECD is priced from $299,995. The price varies depending on which options the customer wants. Keep in mind that they can only build 10-12 units per year and nine are already ordered. The first Jaguar E-Types to be given an electric Tesla drivetrain will be completed by Spring 2023.
