The Delica Mini, while not looking like your typical Delica, is emblazoned with large lettering on both ends to prevent any confusion. The designers took a more boxy approach with the front, reinterpreting its "Dynamic Shield." Instead of the conventional split headlights, the Led units are semi-elliptical and bring to mind the new Land Rover Defender.
The black paint on the lower bumper, side sills, and wheelarches create a duo-tone effect that is matched by the roof and pillars. Aluminum-style skid plates complete the rugged look, along with roof rails. The large vertical tailgate at the back has LED lights mounted vertically and a tiny spoiler.
The Delica Mini will have a hybrid powertrain and 4WD system, but Mitsubishi has yet to go into detail about the underpinnings. The new model, much like the Mitsubishi eK X Space and Nissan Roox twins, will probably be around 3,395 mm (133.7 inches) long. The kei cars aforementioned are already available with an electrified 660cc engine that is partnered with a CVT gearbox in 2WD or 4WD flavors.
The complete reveal will be in 2023 during mid-January in Japan. Production is scheduled for mid-2023.
