It appears that the front bumper will have a sportier look while the LED graphics of the taillights are updated. The inside of the cabin is where VW promises to make the biggest changes in terms of quality. The touchscreen size will increase from 10 inches to 12 inches, while the center console will be redesigned to have 2 cup holders. In the back, there is a removable compartment floor that makes the EV more practical.
The software will be updated again to address the teething problems of the VW ID.3. Follow-up over-the-air updates will further enhance functionality. According to VW, this includes an improved infotainment system and upgraded assist systems like Travel Assist with Swarm Data and Park Assist Plus with Memory Function. With today's official preview, VW states that it has "listened to its customers and implemented many of their suggestions."
The ID.3 will be made in Wolfsburg from 2023. It will also be made at the Zwickau and Dresden factories in Germany. You can now order the facelifted model in Germany for Life, Business, Style, Max, and Tour flavors--starting at €43,995. An updated ID.3 will not be available for delivery until the fourth quarter of next year due to a large backlog of orders.
