The next generation Aveo in Mexico arrives as a five-door hatchback, having ditched the four-door sedan. The car features more angular styling than its predecessor giving off a modern appearance. Headlights are slimmer and blockier while the tail appears sharper due to the upward kinking of the beltline. A simulated diffuser is featured at the rear end.
Chevy has yet to release photos of the 2024 Aveo's interior or discuss specifics about available trim levels. However, the company says that the vehicle comes with six airbags and seatbelt alerts for front and rear passengers.
Chevy hasn't yet disclosed the model's powertrain. For reference, the current Aveo in Mexico comes with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder making 107 horsepower (80 kilowatts) and 104 pound-feet (141 Newton-meters) of torque. Buyers can select a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic for driving the front wheels.
The Aveo is Chevy's most affordable car in Mexico, where the current model starts at 276,400 Mexican pesos (13,965 USD).
