Volkswagen is revealing the newest addition to its all-electric family on January 3rd at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Not only will a camouflaged version of the car be unveiled, but also its name!

The short announcement from VW leads us to believe that we will see a camo-wrapped production version of the ID. Aero concept sedan, which debuted at the end of June. We have already seen road-going prototypes wearing clever disguises, so an official announcement of a production model would be ideal for CES.

If this announcement is the production version of VW's ID. Aero, it will be quite close to its concept design. At launch, it was presented with a remarkable 0.23 drag coefficient and an impressive WLTP range of 620 km (385 miles).

We do not know how much power the Aero will have, but it is likely that it will replace the Arteon as VW's liftback. We also do not know its official production name, but it could be called the ID.7.

CES 2023 takes place at the Las Vegan Convention Center, with public days starting January 5 and running through January 8. Volkswagen will hold its big reveal a couple of days prior, on January 3. The new vehicle along with the ID.4 and ID. Buzz will be on display in VW's booth for the duration of the show.
