Nvidia has announced partnerships with Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, Polestar, and BYD to integrate its GeForce Now cloud gaming service into their vehicles.

The service, which currently features over 1,500 games, with more than 1,000 playable using a controller, will be available through Android or browser-based in-vehicle infotainment systems. Popular titles such as Fortnite, Destiny 2, and Lost Ark will be available, as well as AAA games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077.

Nvidia believes that in-car gaming will be a popular activity for drivers and passengers as autonomous driving systems become more prevalent, providing a way to pass the time during commutes. With the increasing size of in-car screens, vehicles are becoming more like rolling video game consoles.

"Accelerated computing, AI and connectivity are delivering new levels of automation, safety, convenience and enjoyment to the car," said Ali Kani, vice president of automotive at NVIDIA. "The ability to stream popular titles from gamers' libraries along with dozens of free-to-play games will bring the in-vehicle infotainment experience to new heights."
