The all-new C8 Corvette is set to make history as it marks several milestones for the iconic American sports car. For the first time ever, the Corvette will be both a hybrid and feature all-wheel drive capabilities

The new teaser video released by Chevrolet, showcases a blue E-Ray model driving through snowy conditions and confirms that the official debut will take place on January 17th.

Previously, images of the E-Ray had surfaced on Chevy's online configurator tool, giving fans a glimpse of its unique widebody design, which it shares with the Z06 model. The configurator also revealed "E-Ray" badges and a button inside the car that suggests the presence of adjustable regenerative braking.

Additionally, the teaser video highlights a new 'Stealth' mode that will enable the E-Ray to drive exclusively using its electric motors and battery, with the V8 engine turned off. This is in line with Chevrolet's plans to introduce a sub-brand of battery-powered Corvette models in 2025, with rumors of a four-door sedan and SUV also in the works.

We'll learn lots more about the E-Ray soon enough, as it will make its debut next week. We expect it to go on sale sometime later this year as a 2024 model.
