Titled 'New World. Same Energy.', the campaign features six unique worlds, one of which is an anime-inspired universe where the Integra Type S is driven by racing hero Chiaki. In the video, the sedan is seen powering up a snowy Pikes Peak Hill Climb, giving viewers a glimpse of its large splitter and wing.
Although these features were not present on a previously revealed camouflaged version of the car, and will not be part of the production model, it's possible the Integra Type S could be chosen as Acura's entry for this year's Pikes Peak Hill Climb. The anime version of the car also features sporty stripes along its sides.
The real-world Acura Integra Type S is set to boast a high-revving 2.0-liter VTEC turbocharged engine that is expected to produce over 300 horsepower, as opposed to the Honda Civic Si's 1.5-liter turbocharged engine which has 200 horsepower. Acura plans to reveal more details about the sporty new Integra closer to its launch, which is expected to take place during the summer.
