This GTI, sold in the final year of the Mk2 GTI's availability in the U.S., is in excellent condition and is equipped with a 16-valve engine, considered the preferred option. The 2.0-liter engine had a power output of 137 horsepower (102 kW/129 PS) when it was new.
Originally sold in Texas, the car spent most of its life in the Netherlands before being imported back to the U.S. in 2022. It features Recaro front seats, air conditioning, a European Philips cassette stereo, and 15-inch BBS wheels.
While the car is certainly well-maintained, with its Tornado Red paint and low mileage of 53,000 miles (85,295 km), it doesn't seem to possess any exceptional qualities. According to the ad, the car has some visible scratches around the rear license plate and curb marks on the rear left wheel.
