The two-wheeler is built around a die-cast magnesium-alloy frame, weighing just 46 pounds and folding down to 20 x 30 x 23 inches for easy transportation. It's powered by a 350W rear-hub motor that promises 50 Nm (36.8 lb-ft) of torque, say Blaupunkt's CEO, enabling riders to reach a top speed of 20 mph over three levels of pedal assist.
The removable 36V, 10.5Ah Li-ion battery pack offers an impressive per-charge range of 45 miles on each recharge, making it able to satisfy most commuters' needs. The bike also has a maximum payload of 265 lbs and rides on 20-inch magnesium alloy wheels with 2.125 tires; Tektro mechanical disc brakes provide sufficient stopping power.
An LCD backlit display is mounted on the left handlebar for stats viewing, plus LED headlight and rear reflector are also included in the package for better visibility at night or in low light conditions. The three variations can be purchased in the U.S via Bike Exchange at $1,999 each: grey/black for Henri, blue/black for Fiete, and orange/black for Fiene.
