Ram has officially confirmed the name of their new electric pickup and released teaser images of what is to come in their 60-second Super Bowl commercial. The all-new Ram 1500 REV was previewed by the 1500 BEV concept at CES, and will be going into production next year.

Ram CEO Mike Koval Jr. expressed confidence that the truck “will push past the competition” with its combination of “range, payload, towing, and charge time.” On Super Bowl Sunday (February 12), more information on specifications will be released.

From the teasers, we can see that compared to the concept there is a revised grille that does not include yellow marker lights; smaller illuminated Ram logo; differently shaped headlights; and an updated front bumper with modified air intakes as well as ‘REV’ badging highlighted on the bulging hood.

The powertrain details remain a mystery for now, though it's worth noting the concept version featured a 350 kW DC fast charging capacity allowing up to 100 miles of range after 10 minutes and came with adjustable air suspension and four-wheel steering system similar to Hummer EV's setup. Other attractive features included power multifunction tailgate, power frunk, and mid-gate enabling to haul items up to 18 feet long with closed tailgate - some may make it onto the production model too.
