Carlex Design, a renowned tuner, has revealed its latest project, the GLS Gold & Mint, based on the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, a limited edition vehicle. The tuner has transformed the luxury SUV into an even more conspicuous symbol of new money with a two-tone exterior consisting of turquoise and black hues.

The exterior features a minty fresh shade, separated from the black with a subtle pinstripe. The 23-inch alloys wear the tuner's logo in the center caps and have been finished in a light gold shade. The grille has also been treated to a golden shade. Though the tuner has not added a tacky body kit, they have removed the three-pointed star from the hood.

The interior of the GLS Gold & Mint is covered in an equally minty hue, which may be a bit sudden, but the leather is plush-looking. Diamond-shaped patterns can be found on all four seats, and the firm's crest is embroidered into the front headrests. The seats, center console, lower dashboard, and door cards have been teamed with black piano inlays with flowing lines. The interior is very similar to the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, revealed by Brabus a few months ago.

The GLS 600 does not have any performance upgrades. It uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 550 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque.

The luxurious SUV retails for $165,100 in the US before any options have been fitted. Carlex Design's minty fresh Maybach's pricing is yet to be revealed, but it is expected to carry an eye-watering price tag.
