GMC and Australian company EarthCruiser have teamed up to create an exciting electric motorhome concept that will be unveiled in late summer 2023, offering customers an "overlanding upfit solution" that will allow them to explore the world in a new way.

GMC and EarthCruiser have released a cryptic teaser of the model, which will be unveiled in concept form in late summer 2023. According to the teaser, the motorhome will take advantage of the Hummer EV Pickup's longer wheelbase and overall length, and will feature a fully covered rear bed with storage compartments on the sides and solar panels on the roof. The solar panels are expected to produce enough energy to power the motorhome's needs, preserving the battery of the EV for driving.

The press release from the companies didn't provide many details about the project, but it did mention that the "overlanding upfit solution" will enable customers to explore the world in a new way. Lance Gillies, CEO and Founder of EarthCruiser, expressed excitement about the collaboration and said that the development of an overland vehicle that's truly made for, and will define, the future of the industry is underway.

While the electric motorhome concept is still in the development stage, EarthCruiser plans to offer a similar kit in the future if there is enough interest. This move follows the company's recent announcement of a slide-in camper kit for electric pickups that could be compatible with various models.
