Tesla has announced significant price reductions for all its models sold in Europe, with the Model 3 and Model Y seeing up to 2,000 euros off and the higher-end Model S and Model X series getting up to 10,000 euros slashed from their prices.

Tesla has reduced prices for all of their models in Europe. This includes the Model 3 and Model Y as well as the higher-end Model S and Model X series.

The prices of all three versions of the Model 3 have decreased in European markets. The basic model with LFP battery and rear-wheel drive now costs 41,990 euros, which is 2,000 euros less than before. The price of the Model 3 Long Range has dropped by 3,000 euros and is now listed for 50,990 euros. The Model 3 Performance has seen the largest decrease in price at 6,000 euros and is now listed for 54,990 euros.

The only Model Y version that has decreased in price during this round is the Performance model, now priced at 60,990 euros on the Tesla website, a reduction of 4,000 euros. The LFP Model Y, made in China, and the Long Range model, like the Performance model produced in Grünheide, continue to have the same prices as January, at 44,890 euros and 54,990 euros, respectively.

In January, the Long Range versions of Model S and Model X were relaunched at higher prices (112,990 euros for Model S and 120,990 euros for Model X). However, the Model S Long Range is now available at a reduced price starting from 102,990 euros, which is 10,000 euros cheaper. The Model S Plaid has also been reduced by 10,000 euros and is currently listed on the website at 127,990 euros.

The Model X now has a price reduction of 10,000 euros. This means that the Long Range version starts at 110,990 euros and the Plaid version starts at 130,990 euros.

Tesla itself states that the price reduction has been achieved “primarily through exponentially scaled and improved manufacturing capacity in factories worldwide”, “enabling us to produce the best product at industry-leading costs”. “With the price reduction, we continue to support the adoption of electric mobility and do so without compromising on vehicle features,” Tesla wrote in one of the company’s rare announcements.

When looking at Tesla’s pricing, it should be noted that a processing and delivery fee is added per vehicle. And most importantly, the eligible models (i.e. Model 3 and Model Y) already have the manufacturer’s share of the environmental bonus deducted. The basic Model 3, for example, is available in real terms at prices starting at 38,470 euros – but this price already includes the government’s share of the environmental bonus.
