Toyota has announced that it will be launching ten electric vehicles by 2026, including a sports car and two luxury models. During a press conference to discuss Toyota's fiscal year 2023 results, a product roadmap for upcoming EVs was revealed, featuring a shadowy silhouette of a sports car in the "Sports" section.

It is currently unclear whether the sports car will be branded as a Toyota or a Lexus. However, it is believed that the car could be the production version of the Electrified Sport concept that was unveiled in 2021. If this is the case, the car will be sold as a Lexus and could indirectly replace the V10-powered LFA.

According to Lexus, the Electrified Sport will have all-wheel drive and a simulated manual gearbox, as well as steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire systems. It is expected to have a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint time in the low two-second range and a maximum range of 435 miles (700 kilometers). The car will also be designed to accommodate solid-state batteries.

In addition to the sports car, Toyota plans to launch two luxury EVs by 2026, likely under the Lexus brand. The company is also working on zero-emission compact cars for emerging markets.

Toyota's next wave of EVs will be previewed at the Japan Mobility Show in late October, where it is expected that more details about the upcoming sports car and other models will be revealed.
