The ELE trailer boasts an armored front and underbody skid plates, with an optional bulletproofing upgrade for added security. The entrance is through a submarine-style pressure door, ensuring a sealed and pressurized interior. Additionally, a top hatch on the roof serves as an observation deck, allowing for drone deployment for beyond-visual-range reconnaissance (BVR).
In terms of survival features, the ELE trailer excels. It includes a six-month-lasting medical-grade air filtration system and a night-vision camera system mounted on a telescoping pole, providing a 360-degree view of the surroundings. To deter potential threats, the trailer features a bear spray defense system that can be activated at the push of a button, creating a wide arc of spoilt air. In case of an intrusion, the trailer offers a weapons storage system for the owner's firearms, allowing them to protect their sanctuary effectively.
Despite its apocalypse branding, the ELE trailer remains a capable off-road camping companion. It comes equipped with a 22-gallon (83 liters) fresh water tank, complete with a filtration system. The power supply is generated through four 100 amp-hour lithium-ion-phosphate batteries, providing up to 20 hours of power. Charging options include driving, a 200-watt solar panel, and a gasoline generator.
For comfort and entertainment, the ELE trailer includes amenities such as a 32-inch television, Starlink for internet connectivity, a dual-band radio system, and air conditioning. Moreover, it features an exterior swing-out kitchen with a sink and a two-burner stove, allowing users to enjoy the great outdoors while preparing meals. An awning can be set up outside for relaxation purposes.
According to Scott Taylor, the President of Mammoth Overland, the ELE trailer was designed to withstand various challenges, from wildlife encounters to natural disasters and even social unrest. Overlanders can now embark on their adventures with confidence, knowing they have a secure and well-equipped sanctuary in the ELE trailer.
The ELE trailer will make its debut at the upcoming Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona, later this month. The base price starts at $67,000, with the option of Level 3 bulletproofing available for an additional $25,000.
