He acknowledges that he was previously a "petrol-spewing mess" and a "hypocrite," considering he founded the Footprint Coalition in 2019 to promote technologies that combat climate change. However, Downey's optimistic outlook and penchant for creative problem-solving led him to pursue this innovative endeavor.
