The Viktor system includes a 14.5mm twin anti-aircraft machine gun, which is mounted on the chassis of the Toyota Land Cruiser 70. They are assembled by the Czech company Excalibur Army.
The main task of the Viktor systems is to combat UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), including the Shahed type. The Viktor's other mission is to shoot down low-altitude aircraft and helicopters.
According to Lieutenant General Serhii Nayev, Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Joint Forces, the first Viktor systems are already in combat operations in northern Ukraine and have shown excellent results in shooting down loitering munitions.
They are easy to hide in a firing position, and the rate of fire of about 600 rounds per minute allows them to hit air targets over long distances.
“In combination with a thermal sight and a collimator, this is a very powerful weapon against the Shaheds,” Serhii Nayev added.
Mobile fire groups equipped with Viktor systems will be further strengthened with reconnaissance radars to enhance their capabilities.
Volunteers in the Czech Republic raised funds and donated fifteen Viktor mobile anti-aircraft systems to the Ukrainian Army.
