The Smart #1 Pulse is equipped with an additional engine, resulting in a total output of 315 kW, compared to the 200 kW rear-wheel drive in the base model. The car has a WLTP range of 400 kilometers and features a 66 kWh battery, which is consistent across all variants of the Smart #1.
The new variant comes with a heat pump, a 22 kW on-board charger, a 360-degree camera, a halo roof, a 10-inch head-up display, and a tailgate with gesture control as standard features.
The Smart #1 Pulse can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and can tow trailers weighing up to 1,600 kilograms.
The #1 Pulse is positioned between the base model and the higher-end Brabus model, offering a mid-range option to customers. Some features available in the premium variant, such as Matrix LED headlights and the Beats sound system, are not included in the #1 Pulse.
“We are especially excited for the #1 Pulse as it offers a further all-wheel drivetrain option for European customers. Our development and production set up enables us to stay on top of changing demand situations and incorporate according solutions for our customers quickly,” says Dirk Adelmann, CEO of Smart Europe.
