Compared to its showcar counterpart, the cabin of the 2024 MG Cyberster has been toned down but still exudes a sense of elegance and luxury. The highlight of the interior is the curved screen that seamlessly integrates the digital instrument cluster with the infotainment touchscreen, following the trend set by other modern EVs. The center console, featuring a few conventional controls, evokes a familiar feel reminiscent of the Chevrolet Corvette C7 or the Lexus LC, and perhaps even the Jaguar F-Type.
The attention to detail is evident in the design elements throughout the interior. The gear selector buttons are prominently placed to the left of a portrait-oriented display, and the dashboard gives off a Chevy Corvette C7 vibe. The yoke-like steering wheel seen in the concept version has been replaced with a flat-bottomed wheel adorned with aluminum spokes and paddles behind. Notably, a red "Super" button catches the eye, suggesting the presence of sportier driving settings, accompanied by another button for selecting the driving mode.
Functionality meets style with the inclusion of three keys to open the butterfly doors and the folding roof, as well as a pair of cup holders for convenience. The seats, covered in leather with color-coordinated stitching, provide an upscale and comfortable experience. MG has clearly aimed to create a cabin that exudes grand touring luxury rather than a purely sporty aesthetic.
While the official specifications are yet to be released, previous leaks from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) shed some light on the Cyberster's dimensions and powertrain options. The two-seater electric roadster is expected to come with outputs ranging from 201 horsepower to potentially 544 horsepower, depending on the chosen model. Two battery pack options, 64 kWh and 77 kWh, are likely to be offered, while the top speed is capped at 124 mph (200 km/h).
