An Acura NSX Type S had its wheels stolen at the San Francisco airport parking lot. The thieves not only stole the wheels but also improperly placed the car on bricks, causing damage to the rocker panels and potentially the rear bumper.

As posted on Reddit, an Acura driver in San Francisco found that his NSX Type S had its wheels stolen from the airport parking lot.

Tire Meets Road reports that rims for a “normal” NSX can go for as much as $2,300 per wheel, so a full set for a Type S could potentially cost as much as $8,000-$10,000.

Thieves Steal Wheels from Rare Acura NSX Type S at San Francisco Airport

To make matters worse, not only did the thieves leave the car on bricks, but the bricks weren't on the jacking points, causing significant damage to the rocker panels. On top of that, because they only used one stack of bricks on each side, the car tipped backwards, likely causing damage to the rear bumper as well.

Fixing the situation or finding new wheels won't be easy. The Acura NSX Type S was produced in only 350 units, which means parts are not easy to find.
