Ford of Europe has introduced a number of new vans, and now the company is preparing to introduce a motorhome. The model, which will be unveiled on August 24, promises to "make your next outdoors trip an experience of a lifetime".

The teaser videos only give us a few glimpses of the exterior, but we can see a sliding side window and a pop-up roof equipped with a solar panel. With the roof up, there will be enough room to stand inside the van.

There's not much else to see, but the van has stylish countertops and what appears to be a fridge drawer. There are also zippered window covers and a touchscreen display in the rear that allows the owner to adjust the color-changing lighting system. We can also see what appears to be a sink and an exterior showerhead or washer.

While Ford remains tight-lipped, the model could be the redesigned Transit Custom Nugget. That remains to be seen, but the timing makes sense and the rear quarter glass suggests the camper is based on the Transit Custom. Speaking of which, the redesigned van was unveiled last September and the motorhome variant is expected to make its debut at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon later this week.

We'll get full details soon, but the Transit Custom is available with a range of powertrains, including EcoBlue diesels with outputs from 108 hp (81 kW / 110 PS) to 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS). Plug-in hybrid and electric variants are also available.
