LAZ Parking and bp pulse are joining forces to bring ultra-fast charging to parking lots across the United States. The two companies have agreed to work together to set up and run charging hubs at LAZ-managed locations.

LAZ Parking operates the largest private parking network in the US. They manage 1.6 million parking spaces across 3,800 locations in 477 cities and 42 states. Their reach extends into Canada as well.

The partnership will focus on setting up Level 3 chargers. These chargers will pack a punch, delivering 250kW or more power to electric vehicles. This puts them in the "ultra-fast" category of chargers.

The companies will look for suitable spots in key metro areas. They'll target places with lots of cars, areas with high-density housing, universities, and hotels. The goal is to make these chargers available to the public 24/7.

As an extra perk, bp pulse app users will get an hour of free parking when they use these chargers.

Alan Lazowski, the Chairman and CEO of LAZ Parking, shared his thoughts on the deal:

"We are thrilled to be collaborating with bp pulse. This agreement builds on LAZ's mission to provide value to our clients and opportunities for our employees. By focusing on embracing emerging technologies, and collaborating with major stakeholders, like bp pulse, we are driving positive change and propelling the parking industry toward a resilient and more efficient future."

The companies haven't said how many chargers they plan to install. But with LAZ's extensive network, there's plenty of room for growth in this partnership.
