Solar power will surpass oil production investment in 2023, says International Energy Agency

Investment in clean energy is on the verge of outpacing spending on fossil fuels, with solar projects taking the lead for the first time, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA). In its recently released World Energy Investment report, the Paris-based energy watchdog stated that annual investment in renewable energy has risen by nearly a quarter since 2021, compared to a 15% increase for fossil fuels.
