The latest Peugeot 208 is now available across Europe, including its updated all-electric version. Sharing many similarities with the Opel Corsa, this updated 208 comes with a distinctive design, the i-Cockpit interface and the latest driver assistance technologies from Stellantis' parent company.

The all-electric Peugeot 208, priced at 36,775 euros in Germany before any subsidies, introduces contemporary features while retaining the unique appeal that has contributed to its success. Stellantis specifies that the vehicle sports a refreshed front area, highlighted by the brand's new logo. The grille has a dynamic pattern that matches the body color and seamlessly integrates with the bumper. Furthermore, both the front and rear light signatures, wheel design, and interior have been updated.

In terms of technology, the new Peugeot 208 incorporates i-Connect Advanced infotainment system, designed to simplify both driving and commuting. The car comes in seven exterior color options: Agueda Yellow, Selenium Gray, Artense Silver, Perla Nera Black, Snow White, Elixir Red, and Vertigo Blue.

The new Peugeot 208 offers a range of optional and standard assistance systems that make driving safer and easier:

  • Adaptive cruise control ACC with Stop&Go function and adjustable distance control between vehicles.
  • Safety Brake Plus with front collision warning detects pedestrians and cyclists, day and night, from 7 km/h up to 140 km/h.
  • Advanced recognition and display of traffic signs in the digital instrument cluster: stop sign, one-way street sign, signs at the beginning and end of the no overtaking zone, in addition to the usual speed-dependent signs.
  • Active lane departure warning with steering intervention.
  • Rear parking aid, acoustic and visual (optional on Active, standard from Allure).
  • Rear view camera with 180° view of the surroundings (optional on Allure, standard from GT).
  • Rear view camera with 360° view of the surroundings and blind spot assistant (optionally included in the vision package for GT).
  • Fatigue warning system with fatigue detection, which detects reduced attention during long journeys and at speeds over 65 km/h by analyzing micro-movements of the steering wheel.

The all-electric model is powered by an electric motor that delivers 115 kW (156 hp). Its energy consumption rates are between 14 and 14.5 kWh per 100 kilometers, as per WLTP standards, depending on the specific equipment. This translates to a marginally increased driving range of between 398 and 410 kilometers. Additionally, two new hybrid engines have been introduced. For those interested in the petrol versions, prices start at 21,225 euros.
