The Nissan Rogue, Nissan's top-selling vehicle in the U.S. and known as the X-Trail in other countries, is getting an update. This comes just over three years since the launch of the current generation.

The 2024 Nissan Rogue sports a minor facelift that includes updated bumpers and a revamped V-motion grille featuring a more detailed design. The back end sees changes to the inner graphics of the taillights.

New satin-finish badges adorn the vehicle, and the SV grade version now features new 18-inch wheels. Opt for the Platinum trim, and you'll get upgraded 19-inch alloy wheels and shiny black exterior accents. For the 2024 model, you have new color choices like Deep Ocean Blue Pearl, Baja Storm, Everest White Pearl, and some two-tone options with a contrasting black roof.

Inside, the most notable update is the integration of Google, making the 2024 Rogue the first Nissan model with this feature. It comes with a five-year plan and pairs well with the updated 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the SL and Platinum versions. You can use Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play without syncing your smartphone.

For those who prefer Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, these are hardwired in the S and SV trims and wireless in the SL and Platinum versions. The S and SV grades come with a smaller eight-inch touchscreen. SiriusXM is standard across all trims, but SL and Platinum trims offer the expanded SiriusXM 360L, which includes additional content like Pandora.

USB-C ports for charging devices are standard in the S trim, with an additional two ports available in the SV, SL, and Platinum trims at the back of the center console. Choose the SL or Platinum grade, and you'll also get a wireless charging pad in front of the gear shift. Every 2024 Rogue comes standard with Nissan's Safety Shield 360 suite of safety features.

Under the hood, things stay the same. The Rogue continues with its 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine. This variable-compression turbocharged (VC-Turbo) engine has been in the lineup since the 2022 model, replacing the old 2.5-liter engine. It delivers an 11% increase in horsepower and a 24% increase in torque, with outputs of 201 hp and 225 lb-ft (305 Nm). Power is delivered via a continuously variable transmission that was updated in 2022 for better shifting.

The 2024 Rogue will be available for purchase in the U.S. early next year in S, SV, SL, and Platinum trims. Prices will be announced closer to the release date. The outgoing 2023 model started at $27,910 for the front-wheel-drive S and went up to $38,990 for the all-wheel-drive Platinum.
