Hyundai has launched a limited-run Disney-themed Ioniq 5, although it lacks the digital grille seen in the concept version. The reveal took place during Disney100 Night's "Dancing with the Stars" event

Earlier this year, Hyundai debuted the Ioniq 5 Disney100 Platinum Concept at the New York Auto Show. Now, that model is hitting the production line. The limited edition comes in Gravity Gold Matte paint and features wheels styled to resemble Mickey Mouse. It also has "Disney100 Platinum" badges.

Regrettably, the concept's standout feature has been scrapped. Specifically, the digital grille and headlights that displayed “sparkle animations” and firework visuals are no longer included.

Instead, the car's infotainment system greets you with a unique startup screen that blends iconic Disney tunes with a Disney100 logo and "pixie dust." While it may not fully replace the grille, the vehicle also offers Mickey Mouse-themed trim, exclusive floor mats, and Disney100 logos imprinted on the front seats and middle console.

Only 1,000 units of the Ioniq 5 Disney100 Platinum Edition will be produced, and sales are set to start early next year. Notably, Hyundai is the sole North American car sponsor for Disney100, a celebration marking a century of Disney's influence on global culture.

Hyundai Motor America’s Angela Zepeda added the company is “thrilled to be unveiling the Ioniq 5 Disney100 Platinum Edition during ‘Dancing with the Stars’” as “Disney100 night is the perfect opportunity to showcase this first-of-its-kind collaboration between Disney Imagineering and an auto manufacturer.”
