Honda will soon showcase the e:NP2 and e:NS2 electric cars it intends to sell in China. To demonstrate the practicality of these coupe-crossover vehicles, the company has assigned six gymnasts to fold themselves into the shortened trunk.

Honda is gearing up to introduce its e:NP2 and e:NS2 electric crossover coupes in the Chinese market next year. These vehicles have already caught attention due to their ample interior space. First showcased as prototypes at Auto Shanghai, the production versions are set to hit the market in early 2024, and Honda's teaser campaign is building anticipation.

The e:NP2 and e:NS2 are closely related electric vehicles, with subtle differences. The e:NP2 will be available through Honda's partnership with China's GAC, while the e:NS2 will be sold with the assistance of Dongfeng. Much like the e:NP1 and e:NS1, the 2 series will have minor visual distinctions. The e:NP2 features C-shaped headlights and taillights, while the e:NS2 incorporates H-shaped lighting elements.

Both vehicles share a coupe-style crossover design. To demonstrate their practicality despite the slanted roofline, Honda had six gymnasts fold themselves into the trunk (with the rear seats folded down).

While specific performance details remain undisclosed, the e:NP2 and e:NS2 are expected to be based on the e:N Architecture F platform and are likely to match or surpass the e:NP1 and e:NS1. The latter can achieve up to 510 km per charge on the CLTC cycle, thanks to a 68.8 kWh battery pack. These models also deliver up to 201 hp (150 kW/204 PS), with prices starting at 175,000 yuan ($24,007 USD at current exchange rates).

Following the e:NP2 and e:NS2, Honda is expected to introduce a more traditional SUV in 2024, followed by an electric sports car based on the e:N GT concept in 2025.
