Earlier this month, on a windy morning, Swift accomplished this challenge during the Guinness World Record Day. The record was verified by measuring the distance between the obstacles he navigated, compared to the truck's height. Swift beat the previous record by one centimeter (0.39 inches).
Despite making it appear effortless, Swift encountered several hurdles in achieving this record, only succeeding after multiple attempts. Challenging wind conditions were a significant hindrance. The Ranger Raptor's size and weight also added complexity to the task.
To accommodate the truck's bulk, Swift's team reinforced the ramp used to elevate the vehicle's left side. The truck's high suspension added to the difficulty of maintaining balance on two wheels. Nevertheless, the robust build of the Ranger Raptor ensured it could withstand the impact when landing back on all four wheels.
Swift, who has a rich history of setting Guinness World Records, spoke highly of the Ford Ranger Raptor. His past records include achieving the tightest parallel parking in an electric vehicle, completing the most doughnuts around a motorcycle doing a wheelie in one minute, and setting the record for the quickest time to execute five different automotive stunts.
Stunt driving runs in Swift's family, as his father was also a professional in the field. Paul Swift started driving on two wheels at the age of seven, practicing with his family's lawnmower in their yard.
