Google Maps for Android Auto now has a feature that lets you save your parking location with a single tap when you arrive at your destination.
Google Maps for Android Auto has added a Save Parking button. The button pops up on the navigation screen when you reach your destination and saves your parking spot in Maps.
When you tap the button, your parking details are saved to your Google Account. Plus, your Android device will give you a helpful reminder the next day, so you'll never wander aimlessly again.
This feature can be helpful for people who often have trouble remembering where they left their car after parking in a labyrinthine garage or random street.
But there's still some confusion about how the toggle deals with more driving after arrival. Apparently, it takes into account your movements in the area after you arrive. So if you drive up and spend some time looking for a parking spot, hitting the save toggle will save your parking location to the exact coordinates of where you finally parked your car.
This feature is an extension of one that first landed on Google Maps for Android and iOS back in 2017. If you're using an Android phone, you can save your parking spot right from the Maps app. Just tap the blue dot that shows where you're at and select "Save Your Parking."
