Nissan has introduced the facelifted version of the Note in its home market of Japan, exactly three years after the debut of the third generation. The updates focus on the exterior

The highlight of the facelift is the revised V-motion grille, which features slimmer horizontal slots and chrome accents. The slits are body-colored when paired with vibrant exterior colors - including new purple and turquoise options - or dark metallic gray for monochromatic colors. The front bumper has more conventional lower intakes, while the rear bumper has an asymmetrical pattern between the reflectors.

Another cool touch is the new wheel covers, which are inspired by Japanese geometric patterns. The only downside is that the concept-style wheel hubs look rather small for the size of the car, measuring 16 inches in diameter.

Inside, the 9-inch infotainment screen and 7-inch digital instrument cluster are carried over from the outgoing model. To freshen the look, Nissan designers added new patterns to the dashboard insert and seat fabrics. More importantly, the glove box has grown in size and is now divided into two compartments, improving the model's practicality credentials. The company also offers the option of a swiveling driver's seat, making it much easier to get in and out of the car.

Nissan's Intelligent Key automatically locks and unlocks the car when the driver approaches, while LED headlights are now standard on all trims. Finally, the 360° Safety Assist ADAS suite has improved its ability to automatically adjust the vehicle's speed according to the situation.

Like its predecessor, the facelifted Note will be available exclusively in e-Power hybrid form, with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine serving as a generator for single (FWD) or dual electric motors (AWD).

Pricing for the 2024 Nissan Note in Japan starts at ¥2,299,000 ($15,791) for the 2WD version and ¥2,580,600 ($17,725) for the 4WD. Both figures represent a slight increase over the outgoing model, which is justified by the richer standard equipment. The first deliveries of the updated model to local dealers are expected in late January 2024.
