Škoda Auto is introducing an adventure in the popular online video game Fortnite, with the aim of engaging potential future customers who are increasingly spending time in the gaming world.

Fortnite is a popular online video game developed by Epic Games. Its 'Fortnite Creative' mode allows players to design their own maps and experiences, offering a range of creative possibilities. Škoda Auto has entered this realm with the launch of its 'Out of Bounds Odyssey', inviting Fortnite players and enthusiasts to explore the Czech carmaker's newly created custom map.

The all-electric Škoda Enyaq Coupé RS is at the heart of the ‘Out of Bounds Odyssey’ adventure. Players who find this vehicle can take part in three mini-challenges. Completing these gives players an in-game advantage, especially in exploring and discovering hard-to-reach areas of the map. Gamers who uncover these hidden locations are encouraged to take an in-game selfie, post it on Instagram and tag Škoda Auto’s official account @skodagram to be in for a chance of winning exclusive in-game rewards.

Players can find Škoda’s ‘Out of Bounds Odyssey’ map in Fortnite by searching for it under the Fortnite Discovery tab. While part of Fortnite, the ‘Out of Bounds Odyssey’ is an independent creation by Škoda Auto and is not sponsored or endorsed by Epic Games.

Škoda's presence in Fortnite is a strategic move to inspire potential future customers, especially among Gen Z, who were born between the late 1990s and early 2010s. As the carmaker explained, this demographic, which makes up about a third of the world's population, spends about a quarter of their free time playing video games. Crucially, more than a third of this generation will be looking to buy a car in the next 12 months. By entering the world of video games, Škoda Auto is positioning itself to connect with these promising new target groups.
