The themes, curated specifically for customers, feature far-flung landscapes, animals and shapes, and help perfect the feel of the car's interior.
In addition to places and shapes, Audi says it will have seasonal themes to celebrate major holidays. It will also soon introduce themes inspired by popular movie characters, though it has not yet revealed which ones specifically.
Themes also bleed into the rest of the vehicle's interior when equipped with the optional Ambient Light Package plus. This changes the color of the interior lighting to better match the theme.
Audi Themes are available through the myAudi Marketplace or the myAudi smartphone app for a one-time cost of $12.99 (plus taxes and fees). They are specific to the vehicle for which they are purchased and are non-transferable.
In addition, the automaker has introduced its new Audi App Store, which allows owners to download apps directly through the infotainment screen. The automaker says that the store will have programs dedicated to music, video, gaming, navigation, parking, charging, productivity, weather, news, and more.
Available in vehicles equipped with the latest MIB 3 software, and a subscription to Audi connect PLUS with Wi-Fi is required to access the Audi App Store.
