Thus, the new Duster is poised to leap in quality, shedding its exclusive low-cost brand image and emerging as a more attractive player in the European automotive scene.
Engine-wise, the new Dacia Duster Coupé might inherit the engines from the recently launched SUV, including all-wheel drive and full hybrid options. Future developments could introduce a plug-in hybrid variant with around 160-165 horsepower. This shift signifies Dacia's exploration of new territories within the brand, even venturing into motorsport starting in 2025.
Dacia has confirmed participation in the 2025 Dakar Rally with renowned rally champion Sébastien Loeb. Additionally, promising Spanish rally driver Cristina Gutiérrez Herrero, with seven Dakar appearances, will be behind the wheel of Dacia's second car.
