This new Q8 e-tron edition Dakar draws its inspiration from the RS Q e-tron, Audi's dedicated rally raid vehicle, which has seen significant enhancements over the past few years.

Under the hood, the Dakar edition is a modified Q8 55 e-tron. It features dual electric motors that power all four wheels, delivering up to 408 horsepower and 664 Nm of torque. The motors are fueled by a 114kWh battery (with 106 kWh usable), allowing for an impressive 582 km range on the WLTP cycle.

The car's appearance can be customized with optional decals, which pair exclusively with the Mythos Black metallic paint. Without the decals, the vehicle maintains a subtle look, but it's also available in Siam Beige metallic and Magnetic Gray. However, it's worth noting that only 99 of the total 1,000 units produced will feature the unique wrap.

A key feature of this edition is its increased ground clearance – an extra 31 millimeters. It's also equipped with rugged General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tires for a more robust aesthetic and capability.

An interesting addition is the roof rack, identical to the one available with the Porsche 911 Dakar – a more common vehicle with 2,500 units produced. While we won't delve deep into comparisons, it's notable that the Q8 e-tron edition Dakar is more affordable, yet remains a premium choice.

In Germany, the starting price for the regular model is €120,000, with the special decal set adding an additional €10,000. This special edition is exclusively available in Europe.
