Nvidia is expanding its footprint in the automotive industry, with four leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers adopting its technology to drive their autonomous driving systems.
During the ongoing CES Show in Las Vegas, the renowned chipmaker announced its partnership with Li Auto, Great Wall Motor, Zeekr, and Xiaomi, who will integrate Nvidia's DRIVE technology into their self-driving systems. Li Auto is set to utilize Nvidia's DRIVE Thor centralized car computer, while Great Wall Motor, Zeekr, and Xiaomi have opted for the DRIVE Orin platform.
These brands are just a few examples of the many companies at CES benefiting from Nvidia's cutting-edge automotive technologies. For instance, the Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA Class, making its U.S. debut at the event, also relies on the DRIVE Orin system for its autonomous driving features. The German automaker is further harnessing the power of Nvidia's Omniverse platform to manage a digital replica of its manufacturing and assembly facilities.
Furthermore, the Polestar 3, currently showcased at CES, incorporates the DRIVE Orin central core computer, while Zoox's latest-generation robotaxi utilizes similar components. Lenovo has also embraced Nvidia's technology through its new XH1 central computer unit, enhancing advanced driver-assistance systems."
