Kubota has unveiled its new Agri Concept, an electric tractor designed to cater to the needs of small-acreage farmers.

This futuristic tractor offers a glimpse into the next generation of farming equipment, seamlessly integrating artificial intelligence, automation, and electrification. The Agri Concept is a fully electric multipurpose vehicle tailored for residential and small-acreage farming.

Featuring six independent electric motors, the tractor operates quietly, allowing for nighttime use even in residential areas. Kubota boasts a rapid charging capability that can recharge the battery from 10% to 80% in under six minutes.

The Agri Concept is designed with autonomy in mind and incorporates obstacle detection and avoidance technology. It can distinguish between crops and rocks, as well as identify humans and animals. Additionally, it includes a three-point hitch, making it compatible with existing implements for tasks such as mowing and tilling.

While the Agri Concept is currently a prototype, Kubota is committed to harnessing technology to enhance productivity and efficiency. Their vision includes automatic data collection, real-time monitoring, and leveraging artificial intelligence for issue identification.

Todd Stucke, President of Kubota Tractor Corporation, stated their transformation from an equipment provider to a solutions provider. Their aim is to empower residential equipment owners with data and AI, making their lives easier, more productive, and more efficient.
