iSeeCars, a company specializing in automotive research, analyzed prices of over 8.3 million new cars sold in the United States in September - December 2023. Additionally, they examined odometer readings from more than 181 million used cars as part of their "Longest-Lasting Cars" study to compile a ranking of the best new cars for the money.

Toyota displayed outstanding performance with seven of its models making it to the list. Additionally, four Honda and Subaru models, two each from Hyundai, Mazda, and Nissan, as well as one each from Chevrolet, Ford, Mitsubishi, and Volkswagen earned a spot in the rankings, with Mitsubishi securing the top position.

iSeeCars named the Mitsubishi Mirage as the best value car, with a starting price of $18,991 and an average mileage of 172,784 miles (270,000 km).
