Jeep has announced that it will launch the Wagoneer S electric SUV in the US in the fall of 2024. In addition to this announcement, a teaser video, an image of the car and some impressive specs have been released: 600 horsepower and an acceleration time from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in "about" 3.5 seconds.

Jeep said the Wagoneer S will get Jeep's 4xe all-wheel drive as standard and a proprietary all-terrain management system. The company says the Wagoneer S's design is "based on aerodynamic efficiency." The only photo teaser shows a shot of a streamlined and not as "rectangular" Jeep as we're used to.

The signature seven-slot grille features LED lighting, while the rear is likely to feature a continuous LED light strip. We can state that the car looks almost identical to the concept that Jeep showed back in 2022.

Unfortunately, there's no information yet on battery size, packages and pricing for the Wagoneer S. Jeep will likely reveal more details as it gets closer to its launch date in the fall of 2024. The SUV will first go on sale in the U.S. and then be available in "key markets around the world."

The Wagoneer S is the first of two electric Jeep SUVs planned for 2024. In addition to this SUV, a smaller Jeep Recon will go on sale.

Recall that Jeep's first production electric vehicle is the Jeep Avenger crossover SUV, which entered European markets in 2022.
