Fiat has teamed up again with Jennifer Lopez to promote its second 500e Special Edition. The duo originally teamed up in 2011 to promote Fiat's return to America. The period since then might as well be known as the 'lost decade' as Fiat floundered, shedding much of its line-up and selling a ridiculous 605 units in the United States last year.

It's not exactly the kind of history you want to embrace, but Fiat is shrugging it off and teaming up with J.Lo once again. As part of the effort, the new 500e will be featured in the music video for 'Can't Get Enough'.

The special edition is also previewed in a short teaser showing the old 500C and a copper-coloured 500e. Fiat isn't saying much about the car at the moment, but it's their second product drop in the US and will go on sale on March 12.

The latest special edition will likely have a 42 kWh battery pack that powers an electric motor developing 118 hp (88 kW / 120 hp) and 162 lb-ft (219 Nm) of torque. This setup will allow the hatch to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 8.5 seconds and travel around 149 miles (240 km) on a single charge.
